How to Fix Sling TV not working on Samsung TV?


Samsung Smart TVs are loaded with several famous apps like Netflix, YouTube, Xfinity, Amazon, and HBO Go. If you have a sling app that is freezing, not loading, Sling TV buffering  or crashing, you can try cold booting your TV, updating your TV's software, deleting and downloading the app again, and a completing full reset of Smart Hub to correct the problem with the app.

Here are the steps to Fix Sling TV not working on Samsung TV:


  • First of all, make sure your TV is connected to the internet.
  • then press the Home button on your remote. 
  • Click on Apps and then My Apps to search the Sling TV app. 
  • To get watching, all you have to do is click on the app icon and sign in. If it's not pre-loaded, go back to Apps and search Sling TV in the search bar.

Cold boot the TV

Cold booting your TV is a bit different than simply turning it off and back on. When you turn it off, it is really in standby mode. A cold boot shuts the TV down and reboots it, like restarting a laptop. This can fix problems you may be having with apps, faults in the menu, picture issues, Sling TV not working  problems etc.

There are 2 methods to cold boot your TV.

With the Remote: For most people, the simplest method is to hold down the Power button on the Samsung TV remote until the TV turns off and on again. This should only take about 5 seconds.

With the Plug: If you do not have the remote, unplug your TV from the wall outlet or surge protector, leave it unplugged for 30 seconds, and then plug it back in.

Note: If you switch off a surge protector with other devices plugged into it (such as your router), give them time to power up and reconnect before testing any functions on your TV.
